Chappell Roan Tells A Photographer On The VMAs Red Carpet To "Shut The Fuck Up" After He Yelled At Her, We Stan

I'm 100% with Chappell on this one. She's been getting a lot of heat lately for not just sitting back and accepting her celebrity - she's been very vocal about wanting her space and privacy from fans on the street, and calling for basic respect and boundaries. Things you certainly wouldn't expect to be controversial, but of course, the greedy fucking freaks online love to act like she's a monster for asking people not to swarm her in the street for selfies. The same applies to blatant disrespect in any setting. Was this photographer actually telling HER to shut the fuck up? Who knows, but I'm proud of her for giving it back.

She was interviewed a few minutes after this incident and said immediately that she yelled back at someone on the carpet and had zero regrets about it. The VMAs red carpet is an overstimulating, chaotic place and we all know that these gross photogs are ALWAYS being slimeballs about getting their shot up on Getty the fastest. Pathetic. Chappell Roan is the warrior we need to defend against these jerkoffs!

Not to mention she absolutely brought down the house with her performance of Good Luck, Babe:

AND won the award for best new artist:
