Open Casting For The New Harry Potter HBO TV Series HAS BEGUN!!!

WOOHOOOOOO!!!!! I don't know how this slipped past my radar two days ago - casting for the new Harry Potter series is officially OPEN! Real Potterheads know that the original casting for the movies was done the same way - open call throughout the UK/Ireland, and they found Daniel, Rupert and Emma who shaped the roles in the most perfect way throughout the years. No surprise at all that they're doing the same thing for the series!

Another exciting thing about this, is that they're hiring kids who are the same ages as Harry/Ron/Hermione in the books, which means we're locked into this series for the same time frame as the movies. That's at LEAST 7 years, probably more with the amount of time each season will be to film. As far as we can tell, there won't be any time jumps/changes in the actors/actresses and I think that's truly the best way to go about it. No shade to House of the Dragon and any other shows that do the time jump, but with Harry Potter I'm more than willing to wait for them to take the time, than rush it out just because people want to see it. Let these kids BECOME their characters, and do the same amount of justice as the originals. 

I also love that it's UK/Ireland only. SORRY HOLLYWOOD KIDS, none for you!!! This is a UK series, and it'll stay that way. I can't wait to see how it ends up!!!!!
