Ravens Lose A Disgusting Game At Home, Have No Spine

Fucking despicable man. That was a disgusting game on so many fronts.

The Raiders showed us exactly who they were the first 3 quarters. I’m not sure they had even topped the 100 yards gained mark at that point. They were getting nothing on the ground and had really only mustered a couple of field goals by way of a chunk play or two and a soft PI call.

Meanwhile the Ravens played with their food. The O line continues to be a disaster and Maxx Crosby was a nightmare, but they also played scared and afraid offensively the whole first half. It speaks volumes about the lack of confidence they have in the right side of the line. The result was a bunch of harmless quick passes and stuffed runs. Still, they moved the ball far more effectively than the Raiders and I was left scratching my head how the hell they were only up 3 in a half where they actually won the turnover battle.

When they drove down the field for a touchdown to open the 2nd half, it should’ve been ballgame. Later when Derrick Henry direct snap bullied his way in, it should’ve been over again.

Instead, the Ravens let the Raiders turn to their most predictable gameplan - a force feed to Davante Adams approach… and whaddya know? It fuckin worked. I thought Brandon Stephens and Marlon Humphrey actually did a pretty damn good job to blanket him and not allow him space to operate… but such is the nature of Davante Adams. He will always win balls and find a way to make plays even when a guy is all over him. Why we consistently did not have a 2nd guy over top of him…. Is really beyond me.

Of course, the most pivotal play of the entire game was an absolutely nonsensical pass interference that would have kept the Ravens in the lead late.

Easily the most ridiculous part of all of this is that the ref you see at the bottom of the screen in that clip there isn’t even the guy who threw the flag. It was the side judge all the way back at the line of scrimmage near the 20. How the FUCK does that guy feel confident enough in having seen something that the guy 10 feet away didn’t??? And how does that guy not have the gumption to stand up to that side judge and say “no, you had it dead fucking wrong, it was incidental contact as per my own two eyeballs right in front of the play”. That guy is just as culpable and both should have to walk their asses to BWI for their flights home.

There are numerous other examples of baffling officiating both this week and last but I’ll save my breath. Fact of the matter is the Ravens showed no resilience and no balls down the stretch. This was a game they should have routed the Raiders in and the fact that they didn’t win by two touchdowns is downright embarrassing. Losing it is a whole nother level.

Something has to get fixed and it better get fixed quick. If they play the way they did today the next two weeks, they’re going to be 0-4 in a hurry.

Fucking figure it out man.
