Diddy Has Officially Been Arrested By Federal Agents In New York City

TMZ - Diddy was just arrested and taken into federal custody in New York Monday night ... TMZ has learned.

Sources tell TMZ ... Homeland Security swooped into a midtown hotel late Monday where Diddy was staying and they arrested him. We have unconfirmed reports the feds are searching his hotel room.

We're told Diddy was taken to the FBI Field Office in Manhattan.

It appears the action was taken in connection with the ongoing criminal investigation into alleged sex trafficking and other offenses that led to search warrants being issued and executed at Diddy's homes in Beverly Hills and Miami. As we reported, a grand jury has been hearing testimony from various accusers over the last few months.

Diddy's attorney, Marc Agnifilo, tells TMZ, "We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs by the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Sean “Diddy” Combs is a music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man, and proven philanthropist who has spent the last 30 years building an empire, adoring his children, and working to uplift the Black community."

A law enforcement source tells TMZ ... the arrest was scheduled for Tuesday. but something happened that caused the feds to move in a day earlier.

It appears the first domino has fallen in this as the feds have finally got involved after a grand jury indicted Sean "P Diddy" Combs today. Finally.

After months of grand jury investigations and mounting accusations, the feds finally (officially) swooped in and took Diddy into custody. It all went down at a swanky midtown hotel, where a team of Homeland Security agents apprehended the music mogul. We're talking a full-on FBI operation, with unconfirmed reports of his hotel room being searched.

This isn't some random bust, either. It's directly tied to the ongoing criminal investigation into those alleged sex trafficking and other offenses. It seems like those search warrants executed at Diddy's Beverly Hills and Miami homes weren't just for show after all.

(Sidebar - 50 Cent has alleged from the beginning that Diddy operated under a cloak of immunity this entire time because he is a Federal Informant, who trades information on people he is connected to or knows about in exchange for that immunity. 50 also alleged that those raids were just to destroy evidence linking him as an operative and taking anything that could damage other assets of theirs. Who knows? But this is also something Kanye said a few years ago out of absolutely nowhere on Noreaga's Drink Champs show and people thought he was just being crazy Kanye as usual.)

This comes after even more accusations and charges have been brought against the mogul- TMZ has been all over this entire story - but longtime Bad Boy artist Dawn Richard, former Danity Kane singer, apparently spent years witnessing and enduring his alleged reign of terror. According to her, Diddy's a master manipulator, dangling career opportunities like carrots in front of young, impressionable contestants, only to subject them to a barrage of insults and degradation. Not to mention the alleged physical violence towards his exes.

Diddy's legal team, as always, is in full damage control mode, painting Dawn as an opportunistic gold digger trying to cash in on her past association with the Bad Boy mogul. They're conveniently highlighting her continued collaborations with Diddy over the years, as if that somehow negates her claims of abuse.

But seriously, who in their right mind would willingly subject themselves to that kind of treatment unless they were desperate for a break in the industry? It's the classic power dynamic: a powerful man preying on vulnerable individuals, using his influence to control and silence them.

And it's not just Dawn. We've got a whole parade of accusers stepping forward with disturbing allegations. From sexual assault claims to alleged sex trafficking, the list keeps growing. Even a current inmate is suing Diddy for a cool $100 million, claiming the rapper drugged and assaulted him at a party back in the 90s. The judge, apparently unimpressed with Diddy's no-show in court, granted the inmate a default judgment.

And of course, you have Tupac's alleged murderer, alleging that Combs paid him to make the hit.

His lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, is singing the same old tune, calling the arrest an "unjust prosecution" and painting Diddy as a victim. He's even claiming that Diddy voluntarily relocated to New York in anticipation of these charges, as if that somehow absolves him of any wrongdoing, all while spinning a different narrative, portraying Diddy as a misunderstood "icon" and "philanthropist" who's been unfairly targeted. Sure thing Marc with a C.

It seems like the walls are closing in and his past is finally catching up with him. The whole thing is a sad spectacle. It's disheartening to see someone who's achieved so much success allegedly use their power in such destructive ways. Now he's facing a slew of serious charges, and the evidence against him seems to be piling up. Whether he's ultimately found guilty or not, his reputation is already in tatters. Bad boy for life indeed.
