It Just Means More: A Georgia Fan Rescued His Friend in a Raft To Make Sure They Can Still Make It to Tuscaloosa for UGA-Alabama

This is the purest embodiment of the SEC's "It Just Means More" mantra. If the streets of Lincoln are flooded after a hurricane rolls through town the day before the Cornhuskers are playing in Columbus, the fans who were going to make the trip sell their tickets. When the same thing happens in Georgia, people get a raft and float it down the street to grab their buddy and hit the road.

Now, clearly this guy didn't have to row very far, but he would have taken that thing two miles if that's what it would have taken. Those fellas were going to be in Bryant-Denny Stadium tomorrow come hell or (literally) high water.

These are the things people need to remember when attempting to deride "It Just Means More." Yes, we have stadiums twice the size of yours all throughout the conference that are filled to the brim every week and by virtually every measure of success, the SEC is the preeminent conference in America. That's all well and good. But what really sets us apart are nutjobs like this who wouldn't miss a Georgia-Alabama game for anything, up to and including God's wrath in the form of a hurricane.
