Bring Davante Adams To The Jets RIGHT NOW

SOURCE - Davante Adams, who requested a trade from the Raiders on Tuesday, is interested in joining the Jets and Saints, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Getting dealt to either of those teams would reunite Adams with one of his former quarterbacks — Aaron Rodgers in New York or Derek Carr in New Orleans.

Schefter further reported that despite speculation, the receiver-needy Chiefs were an unlikely option Adams.

Other reports have mentioned the Cowboys and Steelers as possibilities.

The Raiders are reportedly willing to trade Adams, though are in no rush, and are looking for a second-round pick to headline a deal with other assets involved.

Is Davante Adams the ultimate solution to the issues surrounding the Jets this season? Probably not. The coach stinks and the offensive line needs to stop committing penalties. Oh, Breece Hall can also play a lot better too. But if you don't think Adams can significantly help the Jets, you're crazy.

Adams has already led the NFL in touchdowns twice this decade alone. I think it would help Garrett Wilson more than anyone. If you're playing against the Jets, who would you have your best cornerback cover: Adams or Wilson? Also, how much would that free up Mike Williams (who somehow hasn't gotten hurt)?

If I was a Raiders fan, this might piss me off a bit. You're telling me Davante Adams just happened to come to this conclusion that he wanted to get traded in these four games alone? It's pretty obvious that him and Rodgers have been talking and the second things even looked awry in Vegas, Adams was going to ask for a trade.

Don't get me wrong, if the Jets got Adams I wouldn't give a fuck if the Raiders are sour. But you do wonder how much you can trust Adams not to try to leave the Jets if (or in the Jets case, when) things go bad.

Sounds like the Raiders are asking for a 2nd round draft pick for Adams. The Jets not only have their own 2nd but also (2) 3rd round draft picks as well. They can easily make this happen. It would make Aaron Rodgers happier. It might even make him forget for a few minutes how much Robert Saleh stinks.

The Jets have a very small window with Aaron Rodgers being 40 years old. This is the time to make a big move and make this team as good as it can be right now. The next three games are going to be pretty tough (Vikings (in London), Bills and at Steelers).

I'd love nothing more than seeing Adams in London in green at 9:30 AM Sunday. The Jets can't come to back to America at 2-3.
