Drive Up The Trade Value: Antonio Pierce Now Says Davante Adams 'Is A Raider. He's Never Not Been A Raider' And Will Play When He's Healthy

I'm man enough to admit I'm obsessed with the Davante Adams saga in Vegas. It helps when 1) it's not your team and 2) watching people freak out over every little detail is entertaining. That's what we have this week in the saga with Adams sitting out again with a hamstring injury, reports of the trade going every which way and quotes like this from Antonio Pierce. He's not wrong. Davante Adams is a Raider, he was never not a Raider (except when he was a Packer). But this is prime driving up trade value. Like I said, a lot of reports out there that the Raiders aren't being offered what they want for Adams. Also doesn't help that Derek Carr is now hurt for the Saints, the Jets are firing coaches and being the Jets. So now all eyes are on the Bills because of social media, which we all know never lies:

Deal is basically done. Everyone knows the moment you follow the star player on another team a trade is coming. At the minimum every person in both fanbases will think so. It also makes sense. Put him in Buffalo with Josh Allen, who needs someone at receiver right now and let's see how it works out. Hard to get paired with a better quarterback in the league, Allen is good, there I said it. It would be entertaining at the minimum, which is all we really want in the NFL right now.

But, Antonio Pierce says Davante Adams will play when he's healthy. Again, not wrong. We don't know if it's with the Raiders or another team. Smart way to build up some trade value. Talk about how much you love him, how he's a key part to your team and he's going to play again. That's how you get your 2nd rounder.
