Secret Weapon: Jerry Jones Claims The Cowboys Aren't Giving Ezekiel Elliott Carries To 'Save Him' For Later In The Season, Like It'll Actually Matter

Hell yes. This is exactly what I needed to see. It's been far too long (weeks) since Jerry Jones said something dumb or outrageous. Now we have him claiming the Cowboys have a secret weapon. One can only hope it's saving him for a moment like this again

I don't care how many times I see that play, it will get a chuckle out of me. Now, I know what you might be thinking. Sure, it makes sense to save an older running back later in the year when you need him. 30 carries for under 100 yards on the season don't come from nobodies. Even more impressive when the Cowboys have another old running back doing nothing (see Dalvin Cook).

But the funniest part of this whole thing? Jerry Jones being baffled, dumbfounded, confused that Zeke is well 'dumbfounded' by not getting carries. I don't think Jerry knows what exaggeration means in this sentence. You think Zeke knows he's the secret weapon to the Cowboys eventual loss in devastating fashion? Absolutely not. He signed there when they passed on Derrick Henry and thought he'd be getting carries with Rico Dowdle. So everyone be aware. Jerry Jones has the perfect scheme in January. It's Zeke time.
