Taylor Swift Is Slowly But Surely Taking Over All Sports Broadcasts And I Couldn't Be Happier

Is Taylor Swift the greatest thing that's happened to sports, ever, from a marketing standpoint? If anyone hears that Taylor is attending any event period, it's an automatic double in viewership all of a sudden. A live stream of any sort, that will show her on screen, everyone's tuning in. We've seen it with award shows, we've seen it with her Eras Tour, and now we have a completely new category: sports.

First, football for her boo. She became a full fledged fan, has attended a ton of games, and the NFL is more relevant than ever. Next, the US Open. Not so crazy, celebs attend that all the time, but still. More sports, more live streaming. Now baseball?? At YANKEE STADIUM?? I tried to spend the night watching spooky movies and instead, here I am scrolling twitter for more photo updates and videos, watching Taylor cheer for the Yankees in Travis' Big Cleveland Face. Just some good old fashioned fun. It certainly made me want to watch, and I'll go one further - it made me wish I was there!

I'm personally loving it. As much as I talk shit about sports, they can actually be fun every once in a while!!! In moderation!! Like, once or twice a month!! People want to have their opinions on Taylor being broadcast a billion times but seriously - I think it's ridiculous to ignore the fact that her attendance is significant to the future of sports. Every time they show Taylor on screen at a sporting event I think about this Super Bowl commercial:

If I let myself pull back the cold, hard shell that encases my heart to appreciate a moment like this, I think everyone else can too.
