Attempting To Hit Nathan MacKinnon While He's Moving At Full Speed Seems Like A Great Idea If You're A Fan Of Dying

The definition of 'hubris' according to the Merriam-Webster dictionary is having "exaggerated pride of self-confidence"

Now listen. I get it. You're an NHL athlete which means that for the majority of your life, you were constantly one of the best hockey players on the ice at any given time. If a million people play hockey in the world, I'd say there are 999,995 players that Alexander Romanov could completely blow up with that hit. He's one of the best hitters in the game.

However....you don't try to hit the Dogg when he's moving full speed. Unless, of course, you're interested in dying.

They always say to get off the tracks when the train is coming through. But in this instance, Alexander Romanov thought he was the train. He thought he had every right to be on those tracks. Turns out he got obliterated with a nuclear missile in the form of one Nate Dogg.

Islanders still came away with the 6-2 win, and the Avalanche are now 0-3 to start the season. Avs and Oilers both 0-3 to start the year. Personally I wouldn't hate if they kept that pace up for the full 82.
