The Dodgers Beat The Piss Out Of The Mets In Game 3 And Take Back Control Of The NLCS

Hey Siri, please show me the state of the Mets in Game 3 summed up in one short video.

Damn Siri, you are one cold bitch but you ain't wrong.

In Game 3 the Dodgers boppers bopped the shit out of the ball while the Dodgers arms put out every little fire that sparked up on the base paths for the Mets and now the Dodgers are back in command of this series. Despite how much Game 3 sucked, and make no mistake about it, it fucking SUCKED, I'm not worried about 8-0 just like I wasn't worried about 9-0 after Game 1. The only score that matters is 2-1 in a best of 7 series, which last I checked is still a couple games short of a victory.

Do I feel great that the Mets just got their doors blown off for the second time in the last three games? Fuck no. Do I feel great that there were plenty of rallies early that led to the Mets leaving a small army on base? FUCK NO. Do I feel even the littlest bit good that we are at the point where we are wondering if our magical middle infielder or rock of a catcher may have to be taken out of the lineup because their bats have gone cold? Fuuuuuuuck no. But the fact of the matter is it is still a 2-1 series with the next two NLCS games at Citi Field, which every Mets fans would've signed up for at pretty much every day of the last calendar year.

This team's back is best when it's up against the wall, which is where it will be on Thursday night. Mendy needs to pick out a winner for the lineup, Quintana needs to be the stopper that he's been in the playoffs, and the offense needs to take some pressure off the rest of the team early against the starting pitcher Uncle Stevie was backing up a Brinks truck to before he signed with the Dodgers. Maybe some of those fly balls that died at the warning track go over the wall in Game 4. Maybe the Mets actually cash in on some early base runners for once, outside of a second inning grand slam. There are plenty reasons to be down, but there are also plenty reasons to think this team can do it again. This was never going to be easy because it's the Dodgers and because it's the Mets. But no matter what, ya gotta believe.
