Travis Kelce Celebrated The Guardians Win And Is Now Fighting Clevelanders Online That Are Calling Him A Fake Fan After Digging Up His Old Yankees Tweets

So Travis Kelce finally acknowledged that the Cleveland Guardians are the team he is cheering for in this series, after having gone to Game 1 in New York wearing....all black and no Cleveland gear.

If you didn't know where Travis grew up and only watched his reactions during the game and saw what he wore, you would think he's a Yankees fan. That's simply an indisputable fact. But now that the Guardians finally won a game, perhaps their most thrilling postseason victory in franchise history, he's all aboard the Cleveland train. But of course, the Clevelanders online are not letting him off that easy, citing how excited he was after the Juan Soto home run.

I'm not saying he stood up and gave a standing ovation, but also, that's not what the rest of Cleveland looked like after giving up a bomb. And the criticism got to Travis, to the point where he had to take back to Twitter to defend his fandom.

Seems like a good argument! And at first I believed him. Here was my original take:

His podcast, New Heights, is literally named after the fact that he's from Cleveland Heights. I have zero doubt in my mind that Travis Kelce does in fact want the Cleveland teams to do well. Who that grew up in northeast Ohio wouldn't? BUT, I do think it's very clear and obvious what happened on Monday night: he was too cool for school.

The fact of the matter is that for whatever reason, once you get a bunch of money, and you start dating a Box Office type star, you change. I can guarantee you little Travis and Jason never once went to an Indians game as a kid without a Chief Wahoo somewhere on their body. They were FANS. But now? Travis wore his sleek black because his status is so up there that he doesn't want to stoop down to the level of the commoners. That's how I feel, and I'm right. He's saying god forbid I don't wear Cleveland gear one time…..and that's fine, you don't have to….but sports fans that think they're too cool to wear their teams logo, let alone their fucking colors, get on my nerves. And don't get me wrong, I get why Travis is in that spot. At some point when you're making millions and playing for Super Bowls and traveling the world, you stop living and breathing with the sports teams you grew up with. That's why he was able to show up to New York and not be physically and mentally devastated when the Yankees scored early. That's why he wore all black. He's above the common fan now. But he's still a Clevelander at heart.

That was my take…..UNTIL I SAW THIS!

What the fuck???? Take has changed! I know exactly what type of fan Travis Kelce was growing up. He rocked the Yankees hat, the double earrings, and cheered for those fucking scumbags when they made the World Series! There were always a few of those in every class back in Ohio. People that had no fucking reason to cheer for the Yankees other than they win. Damn, I know the tweet was from 2010 and I'm sure people will use that to say this isn't a big deal, but like, that's exactly when you're a fan! When you're growing up! Tough look for Travis Kelce here.
