Ross Dellenger Explains Why The Army-Navy Game In December Has No Impact On The College Football Playoff
On today's Pardon My Take... ROSS DELLENGER! The College Football Writer for Yahoo Sports joined Mr. Cat and Mr. Commenter on today's show to talk about the scene in Austin Saturday night, the transfer portal flattening competition, a potential super league, Army/Navy and more.
The seasons that both Army and Navy are each having in 2024 are nothing short of incredible. Both teams are ranked for the first time since 1960! Simply incredible. So with that in mind, how would an undefeated Army or Navy team affect a potential College Football Playoff bid with their annual game taking place the week after selections take place?
Well, we got our answer from Ross Dellenger on today's show, and here is what he had to say...
An undefeated Army versus an undefeated Navy as a standalone game in December would be absolutely ELECTRIC. While it stinks that this game would not have any College Football Playoff implications, it's good that they are both still being considered if they are deemed worthy of that G5 spot.
