NETFLIX

1. Superbad

As you know, I don't have to pitch you on one of the most influential comedies ever made.

2. Arcane S2

This is an animated series that really took me by surprise. I never played League of Legends but this made me want to try.

3. Whiplash

One of the best movies in recent memory that is near perfect top-to-bottom. Music, camera work and acting are all top notch.

MAX

1. Dune Prophecy

The Dune movies have been so good that I'm up for anything they make related to this world. This has a great cast and visually looks great for TV. I will note that I have some reservations with the crew, though.

2. Dirty Harry

There is never a bad time to watch one of the ultimate dad movies. Just something about Clint and that comically large revolver gets the juices flowing.

3. Unforgiven

Fuck it, back-to-back clint movies. This is one of the last truly great western movies and it's always worth revisiting.

Coming to Max:

HULU

1. Ad Astra

This movie didn't really get a ton of love when it came out but I liked it quite a bit. It's a slow burn but the visuals, music and acting are all pretty awesome.

2. La La Land

Like with Whiplash earlier, Chazelle was in his bag with this movie. Excellence in music, camerawork and acting always make for great entertainment.

3. Crazy Heart

Another great music movie, this one rides on the back of one of my favorite Jeff Bridges performances.

Coming to Hulu:

TODAY: Eddie Murphy Raw, Ad Astra, Aliens, Billy Madison, A Christmas Carol, Crazy Heart, Deck the Halls, Ghost Rider, Grown Ups, Hellboys, Hitman, Hotel Transylvania, Jingle all the Way, La La Land, The Last Duel, National Treasure, Predators, Tigerland, The Wedding Planner, White Men Can't Jump, Why Him?

PRIME VIDEO

1. Gladiator

Gladiator II is right around the corner, no better time to check it out.

2. Airplane!

It is a shame that parody movies are dead because we will never get a movie like Airplane again. A joke/minute and every one of them lands.

3. School of Rock

This movie is like a bowl of chili in the fall to me. A comfy, warming experience.

TODAY: A Knights Tale, Across the Universe, Airplane!, Anger Management, Battleship, Carrie, Catch-22, Cold Mountain, Death Wish, Die Hard, Disturbia, Dune, Escape from Alcatraz, Gladiator, Gone Baby Gone, Good Will Hunting, How to Lose A Guy in 10 Days, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Jacobs Ladder, Escape from LA, Jingle all the Way, Johnny Mnemonic, Kingdom of Heaven, Les Mis, Lords of Dogtown, Rosemary's Baby, Run Lola Run, Saving Silverman, School of Rock, She's the Man, Silver Lining's Playbook, Small Soldiers, Steel Magnolias, The Aviator, The Godfather trilogy, The Great Escape, The Italian Job, The Lego Movie, The People vs Larry Flynt, The Soloist, The Terminator, The Theory of Everything, Walking Tall, War of the Worlds
