Alex Golesh and Tom Herman Gave Us the Handshake Standoff of the Year After USF Went for Two Up 23 Points in the Fourth Quarter
Tom Herman nearly had a mental breakdown during the postgame handshake with USF coach Alex Golesh after the Bulls went for a two-point conversion at the end of the game while already beating FAU 44-21. Golesh called for the two-point try after Herman had FAU execute an onside kick while up 56-14 on USF in the fourth quarter last year.
This behavior from Herman is possibly the softest thing I've ever seen from a football coach and likely speaks to a mental state that has a lot to do with the precipitous downfall of his career. How do you have the audacity to be this upset about a coach getting payback for something you did the year prior that was far more egregious? Golesh refusing to even acknowledge Herman as he loses his mind makes it even better.
You would think some of the antics like this would have stopped after Herman's career took the tumble it has, but I guess that's just who he is. I don't know how much one is able to chnage being a mental midget.
