The Philadelphia Eagles Hang On To Win A Football Game Despite Dipshit Nick Sirianni Doing Everything In His Power To Throw It Away

Saquon Barkley did his job today. He ran for 159 yards, had another 40 receiving, got into the end zone twice, and had one of the sickest hurdles of all-time.

Jalen Hurts did his job today. He was 18/24 for 230 yards, had 2 throwing touchdowns, and also ran for 67 yards and another touchdown.

DeVonta Smith did his job today. Personally I've always thought he was WR1 to begin with. But with AJ Brown out of the game, he stepped up and made a ridiculous catch to give the Eagles a little bit of breathing room again.

The defense did their job today. They weren't perfect, and were definitely shaky towards the end. But they made the plays when they needed to. They got a huge turnover on downs, recovered a fumble (special teams), and had 2 picks on the day.

Pretty much everybody did their job today except for one guy…

You know it's bad when you make Emmanuel Acho look like the smart one.

The Eagles had two opponents out there today. They were playing against the Jacksonville Jaguars, and they were playing against Nick Sirianni. Maybe you could even say three opponents if we want to add the refs in there for somehow botching the call that Saquon wasn't down by contact here on his turnover.

But Nick Sirianni takes the cake here as the biggest dickhead of the day.

He can never make it easy on the Eagles. He lost control of the offense. He never had control of the defense. He's an egotistical bastard so he feels the need to still find ways to impact the game. So what does he do? Takes as many points off the board as humanly possible. Not because he's strategically going for it on 4th down or going for 2 when he feels like his team has momentum. Not because he's strategically going for it on 4th down or going for 2 when the analytics say so. But just going for it just for the sake of going for it.

There's no rhyme or reason. There's just a brain dead dipshit who uses the term "aggressive" as a crutch for being a fucking moron. The game was 22-0. It should have been 24-0. It was on track to be a blowout to the point where you just wanted to stay healthy until the 4th quarter to get your backups in. But because Nick Sirianni took so many points off the board, he let Jacksonville feel like they were still in it. 2 touchdowns in 14 seconds later, and it was a 6-point game. Jacksonville had a chance to win the game if it weren't for Nakobe Dean saving the day.

The Eagles got the win, and it was a really good game out of a lot of guys today. But holy shit does Nick Sirianni need to just get lost. I can't believe there were actually people in this city who were apologizing to him after they beat the Bengals last week. The man is a dunce. Nakobe Dean saved him today, but he will undoubtedly cost the Eagles a huge game at some point down the line. Again, it was a great win by the team. But not one that you feel good about, and that's all on the coach.
