Martha Stewart's Documentary Proves That She's The Original Bad Bitch, And She Doesn't Care What You Think About Her
I've always been a major Martha fan, but I'm going to slap a MUST WATCH on this new Netflix documentary about her life. We all know Martha - homemaker, went to jail, roasted Justin Bieber, became best friends with Snoop Dogg. What I think we all forget is that she is yet another rich, powerful, self made woman who got COMPLETELY hosed by the patriarchy (James Comey in particular.) Despite being put in jail to be made an example of, she made it out on the other side, bigger and better. Martha lives her life a lot like a man - she knows what she wants, and she makes sure people get it done if she can't do it herself. She strives for perfection, she inspires you to be better, and as is typical in this world, she was punished for it.
In addition to all of that, Martha's constant self awareness and unwavering honesty about her life, relationships and hardships is something to be admired. I don't know if it'll take me until I get to 83 to be this transparent about all the shit I've done, but Martha makes it seem so casual. "Oh yea, I cheated on my husband, but he cheated first!" "Oh yea, I dated that guy, but I didn't care abou this feelings!" Iconic.
Truly an inspiration. I don't want to spoil all the good parts before you get to watch it, but from one Jersey Girl to another: Martha, we are very thankful you exist. We need more opinionated billionaire women in this world.
