'No Place For Those Actions In Football' - Mark Stoops Is Finally Demanding The SEC Take Action After Tennessee Got Brock Vandagriff With A Disgusting Late Hit

Finally, Mark Stoops is stepping up for his quarterback. Took a few days, but we're there. The SEC isn't going to do anything. They should, but they won't. It's disgusting. Almost as disgusting as this hit, especially in a football world we live in where a good tackle is targeting. This is one of the most disgusting late hits I can remember. In fact Brock Vandagriff should earn everyone's respect for surviving this and staying in the game (until he got brutally hit later in the game).

I still can't believe they didn't throw a flag here. Would it have changed the game? Probably not, but it would have given Kentucky a first down when we actually looked decent. We were competing in the first half! I've been critical of Stoops. I think it's time to move on from him. He did his job, we need a new voice (Jon Sumrall). But it's about time he started backing his players. Not putting Gavin Wimsatt in randomly at quarterback, demanding the SEC take action against a dirty program.

You wanna hit our quarterback? Fine. Do it on the field, our line is bad enough to let that happen plenty. But this not being a late hit when a quarterback is roughly 42 yards out of bounds is fucking insane. The fact Stoops didn't get ejected for going after a ref was bad enough, he should have done this in the heat of the game. Disgusting. No place in football for this.
