Indiana Loves Their Head Football Coach So Much That He Received Almost 500 Votes To Be President Of The United States

Democracy is a beautiful thing. People love to say that casting a vote for a 3rd party candidate is like taking your ballot and throwing it in the trash, but writing in a vote for the Indiana Hoosiers head coach Curt Cignetti? That's how a true patriot performs their civic duty. A movement starts with one person doing the right thing, and these 487 brave souls are the pioneers of what will no doubt pave the way for a utopian future in America, or at least get College GameDay to do a show from the White House lawn.

Honestly, being a US president might be too easy of a job for Cignetti. Being the Commander In Chief would be like coaching at a football powerhouse - unlimited money, the best recruits, top notch facilities. I'm convinced that if Cig can turn the perennial dumpster fire Hoosiers football program into an undefeated playoff contender, a better test than US president would be throwing him into one of these corrupt South American governments and watching Cig get them a spot at the table with the global powerhouses.

It's a low bar, but if Cignetti were to leave after this season for another school, or even political office, the man is already an Indiana legend. With season after season of watching abysmal football, this has been the most exciting football season the Hoosiers have ever had. It will be disappointing if the Hoosiers miss the College Football Playoff and end up in the Quick Lane Bowl against some MAC school like Bowling Green, but it's been quite the ride.

The true test comes with Ohio State in 3 weeks. People have said if Indiana loses in Columbus, but play the Buckeyes close, Indiana can still get into the tournament. I disagree, but I'm a glass half empty kind of guy. I think it's beat OSU or nothing. The committee would want to use an Indiana loss as a top team as a big "told ya so" moment where the committee can point to strength of schedule as the perfect measurement of a good team. BUT, Ohio State is weeks away, and all that matters at the moment is being locked in for Michigan. I have no doubt that my President my head coach will have this team ready. In Cig We Trust.
