Dak Prescott Proves That Speaking Things Into Existence Is Complete and Utter Nonsense

Right before the season started, Dak Prescott did an interview with Erin Andrews where he "spoke into existence" that the 2024 Dallas Cowboys will win a Super Bowl.

There's been this mindset over the last few years that if you just say things enough and "put it out into the universe", that somehow it'll happen. It's like the Gen Z version of "when you wish upon a star". It drives me nuts because it completely disregards all the hard work and sacrifice that goes into achieving your goals, and turning your dreams into reality. You don't speak things into existence, you grind your ass off to make things happen. But don't tell that to Dak Prescott and Erin Andrews.

So Dak Prescott goes out and guarantees that the Cowboys will win the Super Bowl on national television in September. Clearly that'll work out for him. Surely there's no way that'll end up backfiring. He spoke it into existence, after all. The universe has to make it happen.

Now listen. I'm not happy about Dak getting hurt. Cowboys are a bunch of dickheads but being happy about injuries makes you an even bigger cock sucker. So it sucks that he's down for at least 4 weeks, and probably more depending on how the Cowboys do over these next 4 games.

But let this be a lesson to all you boys and girls out there. You can have goals, you can have dreams, but speaking it into existence? Maybe just keep that shit to yourself for a little while until you're closer to actually accomplishing your dreams. Sometimes it's better to just keep those things inside instead of guaranteeing a Super Bowl victory only to start the year 3-5 with the potential of being 3-9 by December. Or maybe that's just me.
