What Do You Love That Most People Hate?

My favorite voicemail on KFC Radio this week comes from this caller who asked if anybody had any events that they love that most other people in the world hate. He brought up how he had jury duty right after graduating from college. Would typically suck, but it was actually a pretty sweet deal for him. Was getting paid $150 a day before he had a job lined up, it was a cool case, and he got to watch all of Breaking Bad for the first time.

LOVE this question. I’m kind of a fan of being sick every once in a while? Listen, the physical part of it sucks, but other than that I see no negatives with it. You’re chilling at the house all day, you can’t be blamed for any mistake you make because you’re sick, and it’s a free pass to eat whatever you want. I don’t want to eat this large Blizzard from DQ, but it’s the only thing that will soothe my sore throat. I have no choice! Being sick is just a vacation from humanity when you really think about it, and we all need one of those.

Also, I’m not gonna say I loved Covid because I didn’t and it was a really, really shitty experience for all. HOWEVAH…you’re all lying if you say it didn’t have at least a few benefits for you. My personal benefit as a senior in high school in 2020 was that it got me out of having to ask a girl to prom. I know there’s a group of 22 year old socially awkward freaks out there (I can say that because I am one) who see these promposals go viral on Twitter and TikTok every year and thank God they didn't have to go through that.  I would’ve looked like a mix of McLovin (minus the sex) and Napoleon Dynamite. Dodged an absolute bullet.
