#2 Ohio State vs. #5 Indiana Is Officially A Big Noon Kickoff, Meaning The Buckeyes Last 6 Games Are All 12 PM Starts

So it was announced that Ohio State (currently ranked #2 in the country) will be hosting Indiana (currently overrated at #5 in the country) in two weeks time with a prestigious Big Noon Kickoff. That means that Ohio State, who played a grand total of one night home game this season against the vaunted Western Michigan Broncos, will end their regular season having played six straight noon games:

Nebraska (Noon)

@ Penn State (Noon)

Purdue (Noon)

@ Northwestern (Noon)

Indiana (Noon)

Michigan (Noon)

That in itself is bullshit. We're cheating not only the fans of college football by making the Buckeyes kickoff just after the sun comes up in the morning, but more importantly to me, we're cheating the good students of Columbus, Ohio. Night games are the absolute best when you're a college kid. You have time to sleep off the Now I feel like I must walk on egg shells here, seeing as the receipt finders (of which I am one) will want to point out this very blog I wrote when Brady Quinn ripped Penn State fans for crying about 12 pm kicks in big games:

Let me teach you all a little something about the way the world works. When it happens to another team, I don't give a fuck. But when it happens to MY team, I care a whole helluva lot. Besides, Penn State and Ohio State are not on the same level. Check the results of the last 15 times we've played them! And also...their arguments are different. Penn State had to play their biggest game noon....Ohio State has to play 6 straight games. It's apples and oranges. Besides, Ohio State quite literally carries the conference on their back. They can complain about anything they'd like, and everyone better listen. Including Joel Klatt, who is defending Big Noon Kickoff even when he knows deep down inside that he's wrong:

Look Joel that's fine and all, but someone needs to address how when they "select a game", it's Ohio State every fucking time. That's the real issue here. Not that one individual game is at noon, but rather how Ohio State has to play at noon every single week because Fox rightfully realizes that if you get to select any game in the Big Ten, you're always choosing the Buckeyes. And just to be clear, we split this money right? Ohio State, who plays at noon every week because they're the #1 brand in the sport, has to then split that money with Maryland and Rutgers. Change the name from the Big 10, it should be the Big 1 cause we're all on the same team!

No one likes Big Noon Kickoff. But Ohio State is the one getting stuck with it every single week.
