We Have Found Unquestionably the Worst College Basketball Team of All-Time
Free Lutheran Bible College may have the most must-watch basketball team in America. Sure, Duke has Cooper Flagg this year, the SEC has a bunch of great teams and UConn is trying to three-peat. But find me better entertainment value than watching whatever kind of squad they got over at FBLC try to play basketball. Watching Duke and Kentucky score 170 points in a competitive game is for casuals.
The Conquerors — of what, exactly, I'm not sure — have been outscored 172-16 in their two losses this year, one of which came to Crown College's JV team. And if last season is any indication of what's to come, FBLC is in for a rough next couple months. Free Lutheran finished the 2023-24 season with a record of 0-24, featuring 13 losses by more than 50 points and one game with a final score of 124-18 at the hands of Spurgeon College. If there's any silver lining, at least they don't lose heartbreakers.
According to KenPom, the worst team in Division I is Mississippi Valley State, who is not favored to win a single one of their games against another DI team this season. And I think we are owed an exhibition at the end of this season between the Delta Devils and the Conquerors. We all deserve to see if the worst team in Division I could beat FBLC by 150 points.
Best of luck to the Conquerors the rest of the way this season as they try to find the win column. I think these guys are right on the edge of finding something special.
