Heartwarming Moment: Mike Tyson Reunited With Man He Robbed As a Child

The odds-defying story of Mike Tyson is nothing short of inspirational. A man who was known for ripping the heads off of pigeons in his youth. A man who terrorized his Brooklyn neighborhood to the tune of 38 arrests by the age of 13. A man who was so exceedingly violent and full of rage, and was so exceptionally great at beating the shit out of innocent civilians, that instead of being sucked up by the legal system like the lesser neighborhood bullies, an employee at the juvenile detention center pulled Mike aside and said, "You think beating up nerds and stealing lunch money is profitable? Let me show you how profitable violence can really be"

From there a star was born. Mike Tyson went on to be the Heavyweight Champion of The World. Sure, there was a slight hiccup in 1991 when Mike Tyson was arrested for the rape of 18-year old Desiree Washington. He was sentenced 6-years in prison. A place where he would either A) Spend time reflecting on his choices so that he comes out the other side a better man, or B) Get much much better at rape.

But regardless of what happened inside those prison walls, when Tyson got out, he was able to regain his heavyweight crown. He went on to prove to the world that no matter what unforgivably horrific things you've done in your past, if you have a cute enough lisp... make a few movie cameos... start a weed company... and are funny on podcasts... that the court of public opinion will forgive you for anything. And all the terrible things you've done in your life will in some weird fucked up way make you more endearing because it adds to your lore of being, "The Baddest Man on The Planet".

Even those who Mike Tyson personally picked up by the ankles, shook the lunch money out of their pockets, spun them over his head like a lasso and launched them into the side of some government housing... even they are thrilled to see Iron Mike freely walking the streets of New York on the cusp of a $20M payday for fake fighting a YouTube star on Netflix. All while yet another rape allegation hangs over his head.

USA Today - An amended complaint filed on the woman’s behalf says she was raped by Tyson on March 1, 1990, not March 1, 1991 as stated in her original complaint filed with the U.S. District Court Northern District of New York, court records show. The woman is seeking $5 million, according to court records.

But what's $5 million to make another pesky victim go away when you're about to fight Jake Paul. All is well in the world for Mike Tyson. Despite the troubles of his past, Michael Gerald Tyson is living his best life. Truly inspirational. Never let anybody tell you that you can't achieve your dreams. No matter how bad of a person you are.

Tune into Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson on Netflix this Friday, November 15th. It will surely be disappointing.
