"This Dude Walked Out On His QB" Ahead Of This Week's Packers-Bears Clash, Xavier McKinney Took The Time To Eviscerate DJ Moore

It's Packers-Bears week. Sadly, this game doesn't necessarily have the same bite as it has in the past. The Packers are good and poised to make the playoffs once again, but despite Bears fans believing this year would be any different, it's not.

Turns out the Bears are still just the Bears. Caleb Williams said they wouldn't be punting much this year yet Tory Taylor has more punting yards than Caleb does passing yards. The Bears are 4-5 and in the cellar of the NFC North, fresh off firing their offensive coordinator Shane Waldron. A report surfaced that some vets preferred to bench their number one pick, dubbed savior QB over firing the OC. Somehow Eberflus is still the head coach. Things are going great.

Well, despite the Bears being down, Packers star safety Xavier McKinney hasn't forgotten what DJ Moore said before the season got going.

Through nine games, X has six interceptions and been nothing but an incredible free agent signing for Green Bay. He's everywhere all at once and has given the Pack a turnover weapon they've been starving for. There's some Charles Woodson/Nick Collins to him that brings a big smile to my face. DJ Moore's words appear to be part of the motivational fuel for the Packers safety in 2024.

As we approach Sunday's kickoff, McKinney brought that clip back up and then decided to throw some more gasoline on the fire.

“Moore is another one of those guys, same guy, play’s still going on and you walk off the field on your offense. You know, you take note of that. Everybody takes note of that and we see it and we’re going to work it accordingly.” “I hope so, but I don’t give a damn about what he knows,” McKinney said. “This dude walked out on … I’ve been playing football for five years now and I’ve been watching football for longer than that and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a … You’re supposed to be the guy and you’re just walking off the field. You’re walking off the field on a rookie quarterback that you’ve been praising, so it’s like, that’s a whole other story.” (The Athletic)

Spicy. Could that potentially backfire and light a fire under Moore? Sure, but the Bears seem like a team that sees that kind of quote and not let it impact them in a positive way. That franchise is a shit show. For what it's worth, Moore is acting like he's gonna leave it all on the field.

Or he'll just walk off again mid-play. Still a crazy clip to watch back. What is this team?

The Packers' bye week came at a perfect time and allowed Jordan Love to rest up his minor injuries. All reports say he's back to full strength, allowing him to rip it out there on Sunday. Good on him, he had the chance to make fun of the Bears and chose the high road.

Let's make it 11-0 on Sunday.

P.S. Some of the best Packers vs. Bears shit talk will always be Charles Woodson on Jay Cutler after he threw 4 picks in one of their matchups.

“We understand that Jay is excited about his new weapons, but it’s the same-old Jay. We don’t need luck; Jay will throw us the ball.”

Murder.
