One Of The Worst Free-Agent Signings In Chicago Bears History, Offensive Guard Nate Davis, Has Been Cut Halfway Through His 3-Year, $30 Million Dollar Contract

First off, good fucking riddance. Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.

To say all the signs were there from the beginning would be a gross understatement.

A signing this bad begs the question, what kind of diligence/research do the Chicago Bears actually do before essentially setting $30 million dollars on fire. Which is what the equivalent of paying Nate Davis to pass block was.

They sure as shit don't consult players past coaches. Which one would think is free-agent signing 101.

Do they interview guys to get a sense of work ethic? Or if they're dealing with somebody who's just looking for "that next deal" to set them up for life, with guaranteed money, that they can just quit on? It appears very doubtful.

Or, do they consult Bears experts Big Cat and Chief?

Honestly, good for Nate Davis. Talk about a haul. The guy started 13 games and got a fucking bag because he and his agent found the biggest suckers in the league to fall for what they were selling.

Mind you, this is the position Ryan Poles should be most familiar with, having played the same position in college at BC. This is also the largest offensive lineman contract Poles has handed out since taking over.

This video really says it all.

p.s. - speaking of Mike Vrabel- why the fuck isn't he here coaching this team? Ok, you missed the chance to get him and whiffed on hiring this stiff Eberflus. Why don't you course correct right this instant and get him on the phone and get his ass to Chicago? Why wait around for some other team to snatch him up? Unless it's more personal politics standing in the way?
