Listen To This Crowd ERUPT When Dana White Says Jon Jones/Stipe Miocic Should Fight Tom Aspinall Next

LISTEN TO THAT CROWD! IF YOU DON'T THINK TOM ASPINALL VS THE WINNER OF JON JONES/STIPE MIOCIC IS THE FIGHT TO MAKE IN THE HEAVYWEIGHT DIVISION, YOU'RE DELUSIONAL!!!

No matter how much Jon Jones avoids questions about Tom Aspinall this week....

....or says he doesn't want to do business with him because he's such an asshole....

….he can't avoid the fact that Tom Aspinall vs Jon Jones is the number one fight at heavyweight the UFC has to offer right now, and the fight that all of the fans want to see.

No disrespect to Stipe, of course, who I truly hope knocks Jones out tomorrow night - but he's a +455 underdog in that main event. I guarantee Tom Aspinall wouldn't be a +455 dog against Jones, and Aspinall being the younger/bigger/faster fighter would just add so much intrigue to the matchup.

Speaking of Stipe, real quick - how about Jones denying the handshake with him yesterday and telling him to "never bring his kids up again" randomly? Watch this clip, and then watch what Jones is referring to below it….

What a reach! How insane is that?! Jon is trying to claim Stipe saying that he wants to be a good guy to make sure his kids don't think he's an asshole is a shot at JONES?!

Giphy Images.

I think there's some crazy mental hurdles being jumped there in attempt to villainize Stipe - who Jones thinks "hates him for no reason at all"….

Yeah, I can't think of any reasons why someone would hate Jon Jones! Oh wait! Here's a few….

Jon Jones is the MMA GOAT - no question about it. It's times like these that make me ashamed of our GOAT, though.

It's very simple: Jon Jones is the Heavyweight Champion. Tom Aspinall is the Interim Heavyweight Champion. If Jones takes one last challenge and unifies those belts before retiring, it will solidify his legacy in so many different facets - as a truly great heavyweight, as a veteran who destroyed the best through multiple generations for fighters, and most importantly, as the guy who would fight anybody, anytime, anyplace. I think that's what MMA fans appreciate in a fighter more than anything else, and if Jones goes out on wins over Anthony Smith, Dominick Reyes, Ciryl Gane, and Stipe Miocic (four years removed from his last win) I don't know how much people will remember him for that.

Jones robbing us of seeing the best vs the best - the very concept the UFC was built on - just because it's not worth gambling his record to him would be shameful. Get those "Tommy!" chants ready for the main event.

Anyway, check out our latest interview with that big asshole Tom Aspinall breaking all of this down now….
