Jon Jones TKOs Stipe Miocic With A SICKENING Spinning Back Kick

Damn. Jon Jones is exactly who we thought he was....and Stipe Miocic is confirmed 42 years old. Not the worst fight of the night, but a tough end for us Jones haters.

Jones dominated the first round, where he was able to hold Miocic on the ground for the majority of it after a beautifully executed trip. He poured on some elbows and ground and pound strikes to easily get the 10-9 on the judges scorecards, and Stipe didn't get to show any of the tools in his arsenal as he never got going in the opening five-minutes. Round 2 was a lot closer, but the edge probably still went to Jones, who did a lot of ripping up the body with kicks - and then Round 3 was where he really took over and started piecing Stipe up. He rocked him with his hands, and then towards the end of the third, threw a VICIOUS spinning back kick that took Miocic down. It couldn't have been closer to my side of the octagon, and the THUD that came off of it was sickening.

After the fight, Jon Jones told Joe Rogan he'd made the decision not to retire, but refused to acknowledge Tom Aspinall - instead shouting out Jesus Christ....

I'm all for shoutin out Jesus if that's what you're into, but I've never had a bigger eyeroll than in that moment. Just shut up and fight Tom Aspinall dude.

Stipe Miocic, on the other hand, confirmed that he is done, and retired right there in the cage - as we expected him to do. Hats off to an incredible career there. Thanks for all the entertainment, Stipe.

I'm about to head back to the office for our LIVE Spinnin Backfist post-show recap, so stay tuned if you're interested in that!
