This Is The Year Toronto Finally Wins The Cup

The fans in Toronto have been through so many ups and downs, twists and turns. Years of sky high hopes crashing down at warp speed into gut wrenching heartbreak. They've waited years for this moment. 2 years, to be exact, considering the Argonauts won the Grey Cup in 2022.

But last night, Toronto finally hoisted the Cup again after a proper 41-24 shit pumping over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

This is what the fine folks of Toronto deserve. A championship caliber team that actually shows up on the big stage. Not a big of prima donnas who can fill up the stat sheet during the regular season to make sure they get a bigger contract, but then completely disappear come playoff time. The Argonauts are a team that still carry the hard-working, blue collar mentality that represents Toronto of yesteryear. Not this new age yacht club Toronto.

Guys like Joe Carter. Guys like Wendel Clark. Vince Carter. Guys who lived and breathed Toronto. That's who the Argonauts are made up with. So I'm just glad that the city of Toronto finally has a team that they can be proud about again. A team that embodies the culture of that city and has new reached the peak of that mountaintop. Anything else that happens for the rest of this sports year doesn't even matter.

Enjoy the parade, Toronto. You've earned it.
