Fitting: The NFL Can't Flex Bengals/Cowboys Out Of Monday Night Football Because There's Been 'Too Much Work' Done On The Simpsons Alt-Cast

Dante blogged about this a couple weeks ago. We're at the stage now where we get all these alt-casts and different things attached to NFL games. Well, now it's costing us. It's costing us the chance to not have to watch Cooper Rush vs the Bengals in a couple weeks:

I get people don't want to do work again. It sucks. But is anyone really pumped for The Simpsons alt-cast just to see Cooper Rush try to stay alive against a Bengals team who will probably find a way to blow the game? Actually, yeah. That's it. This game should only be a Simpsons alt-cast. There shouldn't be any normal broadcast for a shit game. Make it as weird as possible, even though our brains are owned by the NFL. There's a reason we've watched Pats/Jags, Panthers/Giants and will watch Cooper Rush/Tommy DeVito in standalone games.

It really is the perfect tweet for how the season is going for these two teams. Two teams who were 'supposed' to be in the playoffs and now just stink. Two teams who are finding hilarious ways to stay in the news. A game that should be flexed out of Monday Night Football and give us something decent to watch. At least we have The Simpsons. Hopefully all they do is make jokes about it, it's all we have for that game.
