Forecaster Frank NFL Week 12: Heating Up
I had another strong week, posting a record of 10-4. My overall record is 97-65-3.
Thursday Night
- Pit -3.5 (o/u 37)
- Steelers 24 Browns 13
The Steelers just win games. It's not always pretty, but they win. Their defense is strong, and Russell Wilson has been solid since taking over as the starter. The Browns just lose games. It's usually ugly, and Jameis Winston's last chance is quickly drying up.
Sunday at 1
- KC -10.5 (o/u 43)
- Chiefs 38 Panthers 12
The Chiefs suffered their first loss of the season last week. They were unbeaten but had a poor record against the spread. Now, with a loss, expect the Chiefs to come out strong and get back on track with a blowout win over Carolina.
- Chi +3.5 (o/u 39)
- Bears 24 Vikings 20
The Bears have had some frustrating losses over the last month. They are due to break through eventually. The Vikings are still winning games, but their offense has sputtered with them taking advantage of a soft part of the schedule. This sets up perfectly for an upset win by Chicago.
- Hou 8 (o/u 40.5)
- Texans 31 Titans 10
The Texans have sputtered over the past month as C.J. Stroud has hit a sophomore slump. They won in Dallas on Monday Night and will continue to get back on track with a big home win over the terrible Titans.
- Det -7.5 (o/u 50.5)
- Lions 47 Colts 20
The Lions have been humming at 9-1. Their offense is the highest scoring in the NFL, and their defense has been nearly as strong. Looking to reach ten wins, expect to see another big game as they head into Thanksgiving as the best team in the NFL.
- Mia -7.5 (o/u 46)
- Dolphins 30 Patriots 17
With Tua Tagovailoa healthy, the Dolphins offense has finally found its groove. It is likely too late for a playoff run, but their hopes will remain alive as they complete a season sweep of the Patriots.
- NYG +6 (o/u 41.5)
- Buccaneers 23 Giants 20
Daniel Jones has been benched, and Tommy DeVito is back under center for the Giants. DeVito will play well, but the Buccaneers, with Mike Evans returning, will escape with a win on a last-second field goal.
- Was -10.5 (o/u 45.5)
- Commanders 38 Cowboys 17
The Cowboys appear to be a team that has quit on coach Mike McCarthy. Cooper Rush has been horrible in place of Dak Prescott. The Commanders have hit some bumps in recent weeks, but this game is when they find their stride against slamming their archrivals.
Sunday Late Game
- LV +6 (o/u 41)
- Broncos 20 Raiders 17
The Broncos have been among the biggest surprises in the NFL. Their defense has been among the best, while Bo Nix has performed well as a rookie starter. The Raiders are a mess but have their moments. This week, the Raiders will do everything but win the game.
- SF +2 (o/u 47.5)
- 49ers 27 Packers 17
The 49ers have had a frustrating season, currently 5-5. They have blown three fourth-quarter leads. Eventually, they will find their way and get back in the playoff chase.
- Sea +1 (o/u 47.5)
- Seahawks 24 Cardinals 20
The Cardinals have played at a high level all season. The only concern is if they come off the bye-week flat. The Seahawks, meanwhile, come in off a high after rallying to beat the Niners last week. Look for a big day for the 12th man as the NFC West gets tighter.
Sunday Night
- Phi -2.5 (o/u 49)
- Eagles 30 Rams 20
The Eagles are coming into the game on a six-game winning streak. Expect them to continue their strong play as Saquon Barkley is able to run all over the Rams.
Monday Night
- Bal -2.5 (o/u 51)
- Ravens 27 Chargers 24
It's the Harbaugh Bowl, as both teams are in a position to make the playoffs. The Ravens have had some frustrating losses, including last week's loss against the Steelers. The Chargers, meanwhile, have won their last four games. Look for the Ravens' balance to be too much for the Chargers to handle.
