The Giants Immediately Need To Replace Joe Schoen With Joe Schoen's Son

Joe Schoen chose to let Saquon Barkley walk and head down 95 to sign with the Philadelphia Eagles. Joe Schoen chose to stick with Daniel Jones as his quarterback, and "build around" him through the draft. Joe Schoen chose to sign Drew Lock as the backup quarterback juuuuuuuust in case things didn't work out with Daniel Jones.

These decisions were all made just a matter of months ago. Today, Saquon Barkley is one of the league's leading rushers for the Eagles. Drew Lock is a backup to Tommy DeVito, and Tommy DeVito is starting because the Giants just released Daniel Jones.

Safe to say that there's nobody in the world who is worse at their job than Joe Schoen. So where do the Giants go from here? I mean obviously you can't continue to let this man make another single decision when it comes to that football organization. He shouldn't even be allowed to pick the paint color for the walls in the office. He shouldn't even be allowed to choose what they order for lunch. Every decision he's made has blown up in the Giants' face. But it's not like you can go out and hire a new GM out of thin air.

Or can you…

You don't even have to go outside of the Schoen family. Joe Schoen's son knew right off the hop that Daniel Jones is absolute booty cheeks. He knew the Giants couldn't go into another season trying to convince themselves that he was QB1 material, and instead shift on a future where Jayden Daniels is your guy. Seems to be working out for the Commanders so far.

"You only get this job once, you should try to win". If he would have just listened to the boy, maybe there's a chance the Giants are contending for the division right now instead of being one of the biggest train wrecks in sports. There's just no way John Mara can watch all these clips from Hard Knocks back and think to himself that Joe Schoen is actively trying to sabotage him. Hire the kid, see if you can salvage any semblance of a professional sports team over the next few months.

P.S. -- Yes. 100% yes. Jerry Jones should without a doubt sign Daniel Jones for the Thanksgiving game. It's the only way to make that game watchable.
