The World's Worst Streamer is Repeatedly Getting The Shit Beat Out of Him & is About to Be Thrown in South Korean Prison

Dexerto - Johnny Somali has been raising hell in South Korea for months now, with the creator being charged with obstruction of business after a chaotic 7-Eleven broadcast.

Although he’s only been charged with one crime so far, he’s being investigated for multiple other allegations including violating the country’s anti-terrorism laws, drug use, creating AI deepfakes of streamers, assault, and even spreading North Korean propaganda.

Now, according to YouTube lawyer Legal Mindset, Somali could be trapped in South Korea for a long time after learning details about the cases against him.

Legal Mindset says that as of November 18, Somali has requested a public defender – but a prosecutor with an over 90% win rate for obstruction of business has been assigned to his trial.

To make things worse for Johnny, the first hearing for the trial will be in December 2024, likely right before the holidays.

I couldn't tell you the first thing about John Salami before I read this article today. In short, he's a streamer who was born in Arizona, and for some reason pretends to be Somalian. His entire schtick is to be as big of a dick as possible. That's pretty much it. Not in an especially clever or creative way. Not in a political way where at at least has any sort of point to make about anything. He's a guy who was born with the gift of being wildly unlikable (it's incredible really, before he even speaks in his videos you just naturally hate the guy), and he uses that to make money by pissing people off on stream. 

But how often do you see some asshole streamer who gains a sizable following primarily through fucking with other people's livelihoods, and think you yourself, "I wish the country of South Korea would detain this asshole, throw the entire book at him, specifically assign a prosecutor with a 90% win rate to his case, and see to it that he spends an extended period of time in a Seoul prison."

Well it looks like it's finally happening. When South Korea was blessed to be visited Johnny Somali, they sat back with a big bowl of popcorn, tuned into his Kick channel, and took copious notes as he committed crime after crime after crime, until they had him pinned for drug use, assault, creating AI deepfakes of other streamers, violating South Korea's anti-terrorism laws, and spreading North Korean propaganda. People are speculating he could go away for 10 years.

And that's all happening after he had his ass kicked by several good people of South Korea, including one YouTube streamer who is a former member of the South Korean Special Forces.

I thought that was a heartwarming story. It's nice to see bad things happen to bad people. Nice to see that every now and then, people who make a living streaming terrible content are detained in a foreign country. Personally I'd like to see him deported to North Korea. He apparently loves what Kim Jong Un's got going on over there. They should let him experience the country for himself.
