Bills Fan, Potential Hero, Almost Blocked A Field Goal From The Stands With A Snowball

Now I know what some of you dipshits are probably thinking to yourself right now--"uhhh hey, Jordie. There's not a chance in hell that a snowball would be able to stop a 33-yard field goal attempt even if somehow that fan was miraculously able to snipe the ball out of the air".

And sure. In most cases, that may be true. But this is Buffalo. The folks in that city are one with the snow. They've been making snowballs since they were able to crawl. It's like when Buddy the Elf turned himself into a snowball hurling gatling gun. If anyone could make a snowball capable of at least deflecting a field goal attempt off course, it would be someone from Buffalo.

Truth be told, I've never read the NFL rulebook before. Can't imagine it's much of a page turner. But I also can't imagine that there's any rule in there explicitly stating that fans can't block a field goal with a snowball from the stands. You could read the rulebook from cover to cover and there's just no possible way there's any mention of a field goal blocked by snowball rule in there. Maybe last night would have been the perfect opportunity to create that rule, but the block should have been honored if it worked out. Give Buffalo fans a few more snow games this season and I'm sure someone will finally connect with one.
