Josh Allen's Ex Brittany Williams Seems to Have Called Him 'a Brain Dead Athlete' Before Playing the 'I Was Hacked' Card

Relationships, like solid objects, tend to obey Newton's Third Law of Motion. "For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction." So when we get news like presumptive NFL MVP Josh Allen is marrying accomplished actress with 20 million Instagram followers Hailee Steinfeld:

… the force of that impact is going to reverberate around the universe of hot celebrities. It's simple physics.

So let us not forget that it wasn't all that long ago Allen was enjoying the support of none other than Brittany Williams:

And while we can't know with 100% degree of certainty how Brittany is taking the news of Allen and Steinfeld's happy news, there was some indication on her socials. If true, the answer is "not so well":

Source - On one of [Williams'] IG posts … someone commented a few days ago … "found the next pro athlete yet?" -- to which she allegedly clapped back, post-engagement news, "Luckily my boyfriend owns a team and doesn't play for one. 🙏 don't have to be with another brain dead CTE athlete."

The comment has since been scrubbed … and Brittany posted on her IG early Saturday morning, seemingly responding to the now-viral comment -- "My accounts have been hacked several times tonight. Trying to get it resolved. If anyone has any tips please lmk."

To use a phrase the lawyers do when arguing a court case, "in the light most favorable to" Brittany Williams, could she have been hacked? Certainly. There but for the grace, we all could, I suppose. I wouldn't wish that on anybody.

Of course, it does make you ask why, if some successful was trying to prank her, they'd draw the line where they did. I mean, if you're trying to make someone look awful in public, why stop at just garden variety cattiness about her ex? Why not go all in and spew the worst sort of vile? As opposed to what was actually posted. Which sounds word-for-word what a jealous ex-girlfriend would say about her famous former boyfriend who's marrying a megastar? It just seems to perfectly on the nose. But only she knows for sure.

In a way, I hope she wasn't hacked. Because there are far worse sins than getting into it with an online troll, getting emotional and saying something snarky you regret. Plus it would mean she's seeing somebody else now. A man of means, capable of doing well by her. It would be nice to know she's moved on from the relationship as well as Allen has. Instead of just sitting home alone, wallowing in misery:

…  she'd be getting out and enjoying herself. Which is all anyone can hope for.

But I don't blame anyone who doubts the "hacked" excuse and thinks this is what she's going through:

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Maybe this is just the romantic in me. But here's hoping all these crazy kids can find a way to move on, find their soulmates, and live happily ever after. You hate to see a beautiful relationship turned into just another public beef for the sports/humor sites to make fun of. Just hate to see it.
