College Basketball Fans Need To Bully Florida Into Letting 7'9" Olivier Rioux Play This Year So We Can See This Giant In A Real Game

I've blogged about Olivier Rioux before, mostly because any time he's on camera people start losing their minds:

But it's a crime that we're being robbed of seeing him, even for a minute or two. Olivier Rioux is getting a red shirt:

I'm very much in the camp of any time people are talking about college basketball it's good for the sport. I know where we stand. I know we're a niche sport for most and those people think the season lasts about 7 weeks from February until that first Monday in April. So, yeah, give me people losing their mind over this giant doing the Mikan Drill and then getting in during a blowout. Florida doesn't play anyone until the SEC starts anyways, so we could have seen some of this on the court. I want to see him play. I want to see fans go nuts because he stands there and dunks it. None of it makes sense, but that's what happens when we have a 7'9" giant walking around us.

What's even the point of doing the Mikan drill when you're this tall? We all did this growing up, none of us are 7'9". When you're that tall the only drill you should be doing is learning to catch the ball and keep it high. Go Boban on everyone and hold it above your head. You're TOWERING over the 7-footers in college, just stand there and dunk it. You can't miss. Get him on the floor in a blowout, for the fans.
