Power Ranking All The Possible Reasons AJ Brown Could Have Possibly Changed His Profile Picture To The Joker
So AJ Brown changed his profile picture to a screenshot of Heath Ledger portraying The Joker in 2008's blockbuster hit, "The Dark Knight". Have you seen this? Have you heard about this? It's 2024 so naturally this is massive news. Any time a professional athlete changes their profile picture, follows a team, or unfollows a teammate, it has to get covered.
Now obviously the timing of this profile picture change is a little suspect, considering AJ Brown has recently found himself to be a tad disgruntled with the current state of the Philadelphia Eagles' passing game. Surely there must be some reason for the change, as there needed to be a conscious decision and effort made to change it. It's not like profile pictures just change on their own, after all. So let's think about all the possible scenarios that could be at play here.
5. AJ Brown is just trolling, and adding a little fuel to the fire here for fun.
This would legitimately be worst case scenario for me. This city already has a superstar who loves to act as a troll just to get attention with Joel Embiid. We don't need another. I'd expect more out of AJ Brown than just doing this for cheap laughs.
4. AJ Brown is just a massive Heath Ledger fan, and wants to acknowledge how profound his role was in The Dark Knight.
AJ Brown is one of the best wide receivers on the planet. The one thing about greatness is that it's typically able to recognize and appreciate greatness in others as well. It doesn't just have to be limited to on the football field. The incredible talent it takes for AJ Brown to be as elite at football as it took for Heath Ledger at acting may not be apples to apples, but the same level of dedication to the craft is required. Like no offense to Seann William Scott or anything like that, but I don't think AJ Brown is going to feel the same resonation with Stifler as he does with Heath Ledger playing the Joker.
3. AJ Brown is legitimately turning into a villain and is ready to create chaos in the Eagles' locker room.
While this would be an awful situation for the Eagles...selfishly, it wouldn't be the WORST for me. I've always thought about what it would be like to be blogging during the McNabb and Terrell Owens beef. Sure, it would suck a ton of dick that this season would ultimately go up in flames with such a massively public QB and wide receiver beef. But at the same time, it would be a ton of easy content for me to cover, and wouldn't be the worst thing for my job. So this would be a doomsday scenario for most Eagles fans, but I have it somewhere in the middle for myself.
2. AJ Brown is just getting his Batman villains mixed up.
This one would actually make a ton of sense. The Eagles play against the Steelers this upcoming Sunday. You may remember that during this Christian Bale Batman trilogy, the Steelers stadium gets blown up during a game. Perhaps AJ Brown is just looking to set up a metaphor for what he's about to do to the Steelers defense this week.
The only issue, however, is that Bane orchestrated that attack in The Dark Knight Rises. It's easy to mistakenly think the Joker was behind that move, but AJ Brown just has the wrong villain here. Either way, the metaphor remains. AJ Brown is going to destroy the Steelers' defense in the same way that Bane destroyed their field.
1. The Eagles just finished up a movie night to build team morale back up.
The Eagles are 11-2. They've won 9 games in a row. The NFL season is long and grueling. These are ultra-competitive guys, and everybody is always so singularly focused on achieving the main goal which is winning a Super Bowl in February. At some point you need to let the guys relax for a bit and just enjoy themselves. You need to boost morale and continue to team build. So the Eagles have a movie night, the pick "The Dark Knight" as the movie to watch, everybody brings a bunch of snacks and treats and blankets. AJ Brown loved the movie so much that he just wanted to make the Joker his profile picture. Simple as that, really. Everybody loves each other, and it was just another classic successful Eagles movie night that we all hear about so much. Let's not blow this out of proportion.
Why so serious? Go Birds.
