'I Don't Make Enough Money For That Shit' - Chase Brown Found Out Mid-Interview How Dumb The NFL Is, Can Fine Him For Jumping Into The Cowboys Kettle
In case you missed it on Monday, Chase Brown broke out the Salvation Army kettle celebration:
It's simple to me. If you don't want guys jumping into the Salvation Army kettle, don't put an empty, human sized kettle behind the end zone. It's begging for people to jump into it. But now we have the NFL factor here. Nobody and I mean nobody loves using this sort of promo for their social media and then fining a player like the NFL. Zeke got hit with a $13k fine for doing the same thing back in 2022. Chase Brown is making $915,000(ish) this year. Yeah, it's a lot of money, but not a lot in the grand scheme of the NFL. That's why you see him panic.
There's nothing dumber than fining guys for things like this. Just as a reminder, they are playing a sport, a game. Yeah, it's their life and career. But give me a break taking money from these guys for ... having fun. That's the simplest way to put it. There's no harm, you're not insulting sponsors, you're not doing anything besides jumping into a human sized kettle. I don't care how old you are, you see something like that and you immediately think about jumping into it. Let guys celebrate touchdowns. Again, if there's not a penalty or something outrageous, how do you get fined?
