Kiké Hernández Says He Originally Was Supposed To Be Suspended For Game 1 Of The NLCS Game Because Of His "The Fact That We Don't Give A Fuck" Interview With Ken Rosenthal
We all remember Kiké's hilarious moment from a guy who's had those off the wall comments. He just seems like a funny guy and will say something if you put a mic in his face.
Well fast forward to mid-December and Kiké is doing an interview with HBO's The Shop and revealed that he was supposed to be SUSPENDED for a game in the NLCS because he said "fuck" on tv. In what god damn world are we living in where a guy was on track to get suspended from a playoff game because he said a curse word on tv?
The fine, sure. I get it. "Kids are watching blah blah blah blah", whatever. Kids hear worse EVERY SINGLE DAY at school, on twitter, on the bus, at home, anywhere and everywhere. The fact that Hernández was almost suspended and his agent had to work to get him unsuspended is a joke. It's pretty tone deaf from MLB as well.
It's still hilarious to me that people curse hundreds of times a day in their own home, but the second we hear them come out over a radio or tv speaker we act like it's the worst thing in the world. People legit can not believe a grown man said a word that those people say in their car literally every day. But almost having him suspended for an NLCS game for that is just wild. No one got offended, no one was upset, he wasn't making fun of anyone, he gave an answer from the heart and let it fly. Would have been such a joke if this suspension happened.
I also love how he basically said he bullshitted his way through the apology. Again, it's a grown man who just won an emotional game with his team, he didn't walk into an orphanage and scream "FUCK", he said it on tv. If you got offended or were upset at this than you need to grow up, simple as that. Good for the players union and his agent for fighting back on this, even the fine is a bit much but I get it. Let athletes curse on tv again, who gives a shit? Threatening a guy with a suspension in the NLCS, get the fuck out of here baseball.
