Joe Davis And Greg Olsen, Both Idiots, Ought To Be Ashamed Of How Moronic Their Call Of The Eagles vs Commanders Game Was After Jalen Hurts Was Injured
The Washington Commanders came back from being down multiple scores today to beat the Philadelphia Eagles. You'd think it would have taken a miracle for them to pull off something like that. And turns out, you'd be absolutely correct. Their miracle came in the form of the Commanders playing some of the dirtiest football you've ever seen in the first half, and injuring Jalen Hurts on the 11th play of the game.
If that hit comes against Patrick Mahomes, the NFL is finding a way to kick Washington out of the NFL right now. But it's Jalen Hurts, so there wasn't even a flag thrown on the play. 11th play of the game, Eagles were dog walking the Commanders the entire 1st quarter, but now Jalen Hurts is out of the game with a concussion.
In comes Kenny Pickett. The thing about Kenny Pickett is that he's just not very good at football. He's not supposed to be any good. He's a backup, after all. But he's under throwing guys all afternoon. The Commanders defense could finally focus on stopping the Eagles' run game because they know Kenny Pickett can barely throw the ball. So the pass game is gone. The run game is gone. The Eagles' offense has been completely taken out at the knees. They scored 3 touchdowns in the 1st quarter, and could only muster up 4 field goals the rest of the game.
Don't tell that to the dipshits in the booth, Joe Davis and Greg Olsen.
All game long these dolts keep mentioning how "crazy" and "preposterous" it was that Washington was even still in the game after how many times they turned the ball over. You could go up to Joe Davis right now and ask him who played the entire game at quarterback for the Eagles right now, and I don't think he'd be able to give you an answer.
No shit the Commanders were still in the game. The Eagles had the man with the smallest hands in the league running their offense after the first 5 minutes of the game. They couldn't get into the end zone after the 1st quarter because Kenny Pickett can't even see over the center. The refs toss CJ Gardner-Johnson out of the game for saying too many bad words. The Eagles had 50 guys in the blue tent at the same time. But Joe Davis and Greg Olsen's jaws are still on the floor trying to figure out how Washington stayed in that game.
It was either a bit for rage engagement like this, or they are the two biggest dumbasses in broadcasting. Almost positive it's the latter. Absolute idiots.
P.S. -- That's now 2 losses on the season for the Eagles where they could have just iced the game if guys held onto the ball. Saquon in week 2, and DeVonta Smith today. Both had perfectly placed passes right in their hands, should have been easy catches, and they both just dropped it. I love DeVonta Smith and think he's the underrated glue that keeps this offense going. But that was an AWFUL drop. One you just absolutely have to have.
