New Info: Eagles Jagoff Still Sucks But Am I Also Out On Green Bay Guy Now?
You better believe I was clutching my LC Lauren Conrad for Kohls Faux Pearl Necklace when I first saw that video. My blood boiled for that woman, and playing it back today I felt the same way even though I already did my part by bravely taking to social media to alert the public that I, a good person, did not like this man's bad person behavior even though we like the same team and he has a cool jacket.
The overwhelming majority of Eagles fans were also quick to denounce this idiot, but at the same time I saw questions swirling. Could they not have dipped out like they were grabbing a hot dog & quietly alerted security? (I truly believe they would have removed this dickhead & kept an eye on the area.) Why didn't Green Bay Guy at least switch places with his fiancé if this was happening the whole game?
I also saw lots of guys in the comments Wahlberging it ("I would have kicked his ass right away") so I called my own #babydad to see what he'd do, certain he would defend my honor and immediately karate chop my harasser in the jugular despite the inevitability he'd then get piled on:
I would have told him to shut the fuck up and I would have looked around and - truth be told - if you're at an NFL game there's always a drunk asshole, but not everyone around them is also a drunk asshole - I would have looked around for some camaraderie - I'd probably ride it out for a bit but if you were upset we'd leave the immediate area.
Oh. Well then. When I tell you I've never been drier in my life than after that phone call. We're already in a frenching drought and now this? I suppose it's just this season of life - two young kids is tough on any couple and our house is small with thin walls so it's really tough to make any sort of romance move. It's a very short hallway between our bedroom and theirs and they still wake up at night a good amount. To be totally honest I've been giving up and just letting the one year old into our bed at night now which completely shuts things down anyway. Brutal. I get kicked in the face all night with tiny little feet. And don't even get me started on th…ah where was…
..ah yes, everyone agreed Eagles Jagoff = definitely bad, but something also seemed a bit off.
Lo & behold, Crossing Broad came up with some answers.
You're telling me Green Bay Guy lives an hour from the Linc and had a GoFundMe for Green Bay fans to pay his way "into the belly of the beast" where he's been "multiple times" & where he knows what to expect having been accosted before and isn't scared?
Send Bas to Philly? Brother you basically live there! Who was donating to this?! Also the burned cheese hat photo is objectively funny.
Here's a take via Crossing Broad's Kyle Pagan that many are now vibing with:
Does that not feel like a guy who’s fishing for content a little bit and got one dumb Eagles fan to eat the trash? He grew up in Pennsylvania. He knows how Eagles fans are. He asked his viewers to send him there so he could go inside the belly of the beast and he went inside it. It just so happens the belly contains an old guy yelling “cunt” at his lady the entire game. Now, to me, this is clear as day the reason why security was never notified what was happening. You do content for a couple years and you know what sells. He knew what he was getting on camera was gold. He’s done vlogs for his channel before. I wouldn’t be shocked if he was planning on doing one from this game. Again the Eagles fan – still a piece of shit. There’s no denying that. But letting your girl take that much abuse and not doing anything about it? All for views. That doesn’t sit right with me either.
A classic case of Kevin Kinkead’s two things can be true™ theory. The Eagles fan sucks and Packers content creator is a whore for views. Now let’s get it back to the Eagles.
I looked at Green Bay Guy's YouTube channel and I'm not entirely convinced he's a cockroach, even though the GoFundMe part felt wild to me, and that yeah, he blatantly, proudly brags he knows what he's getting into, so big douchey vibes. Then again, perhaps I missed it, but I scrolled through and didn't see him mention the incident at all in his game recap video and he seems nice enough. (Internet sleuths pulled up old tweets from like 2014 where he's using the f****t slur, but I hate that shit and don't think it holds any meaning a decade later.) If he truly were a views whore there'd be a whole video based solely on that where he's telling his side and he didn't do that. He's not really actively capitalizing on it, though I'm certain his numbers have been way up on social & YouTube.
Overall, despite this unnecessary fucking novel I just wrote, I don't think it's that deep. I don't think Green Bay Guy was fishing for or that they deserved harassment, but that he happened to be equipped to document it, had to have known that clip would do numbies, and simply didn't want to leave the game because football. (Though again, if someone were talking to me that way I'd hope my man would rock him. Again, Pat and I are in big trouble after that phone call.)
And in the end, Eagles Jagoff is banned so he can't treat anybody else that way, the Packers are out lol, and Green Bay Guy's page is getting more attention than usual. Mostly I just feel bad for the fiancé who got harassed and then had to stand there and take it because nobody, including her own fella, stepped up to put a stop to it despite multiple possible approaches. Had I been there I don't think I'd Wahlberg it, but I'd like to think I'd at least get her a beer, flip Jagoff off & let her know she wasn't alone. Final Verdict that will surely rock the sports world: I am 100% out on Eagles Jagoff and 79% out on Green Bay Guy.
