Sony Actually CGI'd Eyes And A Mouth Onto A Still Image For A Scene In 'Kraven The Hunter'

After the last few Sony-verse bombs, I had no interest in seeing 'Kraven the Hunter' - the final nail in the spinoff franchise's coffin. I actually heard it wasn't HORRIBLE, and that Aaron Taylor Johnson delivers a decent performance, but nobody I spoke to that saw it recommended the movie or said it was worth a watch....even for the most hardcore comic book fans.

It pretty much came and went without most people even noticing it was there, and released on digital without making a blip on anyone's radar either - that is, until Twitter user Darren Mooney posted the above clip. It appears they CGI'd a mouth and eyes onto a still image of Academy Award winner Ariana DeBose here, making her say the line, "Look at what you became."

'Madame Web' obviously had some of the worst ADR issues (dialogue/mouth not lining up) we've ever seen in a wide-release movie....

….but this is a WIIILD overcorrection from the studio. It's straight up Wesley Snipes' CGI eyes opening in 'Blade 3' all over again, and that is widely considered one of the worst, most embarrassing shots of the 21st century….

I know the Sony-verse movies were basically all rushed to release so they could retain the rights to Spider-Man himself, but you still have to wonder how SOOOO much went wrong with them over the years. Like - Sony's a legitimate movie studio with the money to make good movies if they want to. I know they're not superhero movies with heaps of CGI but look at 'Anora' and 'A Real Pain' and 'The Brutalist' this year - fantastic films made dirt cheap compared to anything on the Sony docket. If they would've just hired the right people and stopped over-meddling with scripts and complicating things I'm sure we could've had some decent spinoffs!

It seems they're waving the white flag and calling it a day, though - and I say good riddance to the whole damn live action Sony-verse. Thanks for nothing.
