Disgusting: Ravens Lose A Very Winnable Game After An Embarrassing Series of Mistakes

Disgusting… I’m just beyond words….

 This team had it all going over the last month. Big momentum, Lamar had played an unbelievably clean season, and the rest of the squad had cleaned up the sloppy penalties and other mistakes that bit them in the ass early in the year.

And sure enough, that bit us in the ass.

I love Mark Andrews…. But that guy is going to be haunted til the end of time… not only because of the brutal game-losing drop on the 2 point conversion, but the fumble was nearly as momentum and soul crushing as Zay Flowers fumble against KC last year…. Not to mention he dropped a wide open pass with all kinds of room in front of him in Bills territory on the play directly preceding Lamar’s costly fumble.

Big picture…. The Ravens never punted in this game. They had no business losing tonight, plain and simple. Turnovers are everything in this game and they just didn’t take care of the ball. The DPI that was a clear OPI was infuriating, but any other finger should be pointed directly at themselves for the outcome. 

Huge TD drive to start the game sent a message and the Bills responded in a huge way with their own TD drive. The INT was pretty baffling and from there they just played behind script. I said pregame that dictating the terms was going to be everything and that held true. It’s somewhat impressive that the Ravens still managed to be a dropped pass away from a tie game late here… but ifs are ifs.

Big picture… this is a Super Bowl caliber team…. I’ll stand to the death by that. One of these days Lamar and the boys will clean it up and catch the breaks and button it up. It’s fucking hard to swallow now… I just want us to change nothing but our attention to detail and do better next year.

Fuck.

Beat the Chiefs, Buffalo. Seriously.
