Jayden Daniels Now Has The Most Offensive Yards By A Rookie In NFL History
There's truly not enough good things that can be said about Jayden at this point. I've been saying it all year but what he is able to do by himself has been nothing short of a miracle. It's not like he's a WR merchant- he has Terry and then a bunch of guys who are punching way above their weight class. He's not a defense merchant- the Commanders defense is average at best and easily the worst of any defense led by a rookie QB in a conference title game.
He's the most poised, confident, and accurate QB I think I've ever seen against a blitz, and the metrics back that up:
You don't have to understand all those numbers to understand that Jayden is one of the most impressive rookie QBs to ever do it. Shit, CJ Stroud just called him the best.
We weren't supposed to be here. A rebuilding team with a brand new coaching staff, a bare-bones roster, and a rookie QB was not supposed to be one win away from the Super Bowl. But Jayden changed all of that. It's incredible what can happen when you have a good organization from top to bottom and a QB that makes everyone around him better. Even Eagles fans, who usually would be the most annoying people on Earth the week of a conference championship game, respect what Jayden is doing. I mean I'm sure they'll still yell the worst things ever at him on Sunday, but until then, it seems they respect the fuck out of what he's done.
And as for that game on Sunday, shit, why not us? Underdogs to the Bucs on the road? Win. HUGE underdogs to the Lions on the road? Ass kicking. So why not do it again in Philly? With Jayden no game is out of reach or unwinnable. The thing to be most worried about on Sunday is stopping the run. Stopping Saquon. That's not one of the 3 keys to winning the game, that might be the only key.
It's simply insane to think that we are now 1 win from playing for a Super Bowl. Makes no sense. Jayden really, truly is that guy. And Terry too. I always need to include Terry because he put up with so much shit with the old regime, signed an extension, and now is living the football dream. Nobody deserves it more than Terry.
