Get The Parade Ready: Oregon Will Be Recognized As National Champions Thanks To Something Called The Wolfe Ratings (Seriously)

Cue the duck boats, baby! No more jokes about how Oregon has never won a national title. Who cares if it's math and something I have never heard of before? Oregon won a national title! It's time to celebrate in Eugene. Phil Knight said he would give an endless amount of money to get to this point and it looks like mission accomplished. This is how UCF claimed their national title, some other 'official'  selector to national titles. 

Smartly, Oregon has stayed quiet on this. You can't be a major program and claim a national title when you lost to the team who won the playoffs. You can't be in the same boat as UCF. I don't care if you've never won a title and this is giving you something for the record books. It's not real. Football is real, what happens in 60 minutes (or 2-point conversions) is real. 

The real question is why the hell is this still a thing? We have the playoffs, just make that the official only selector. Can't be having math and science and algorithms be part of the process here. No one can take you serious if you win a national title this way. 

Congrats to Oregon though. You can't erase the record books. National champs finally and forever.
