Saquon Barkley Is Projected To Have The Most Rushing Yards There Ever Were In Sunday's NFC Championship Game

I mean....no shit.

Saquon Barkley has proven time and time again this year that he's the biggest showman in sports. Every single time the Eagles line up to snap the ball, every single defender across the line is thinking about how to stop Saquon. Teams spend all week preparing for them. All they are singularly focused on is how to make sure that if the Eagles are going to kill you, at least it's not Saquon holding the gun.

And every single game, he makes the defense look like a bunch of goddamn fools.

Like a group of imbeciles who have never played football a day in their lives.

And now here's the thing--obviously you can, and should, give a ton of credit to the Eagles' offensive line. They are unquestionably on of the greatest offensive lines in the history of the game. The amount of yards that Saquon has racked up this season without getting touched is unheard of. But at the end of the day, you need a magically special player to do the magically special things that Saquon Barkley has done this year. You need a true artist who is able to see those gaps open up before they become available. Who can see the other 21 players on the field in front of them and know exactly where all of them are going to be before the ball is snapped.

There have been other great backs who have gotten a chance to run behind some great offensive lines in the past. Almost none of them have ever done what Saquon Barkley has done with the Eagles.

40 degrees. A little overcast but overall dry conditions on Sunday. A quarterback who might not be close to 100% healthy right now. And a team he's already averaged 137 yards against this season in 2 games. If ever there was a player to have the highest rushing total in sports betting history, it's the MVP.
