'Assholes On Twitter', Cameras And Memes - Dan Hurley Continues To Prove Why College Hoops Needs Him, Broke Down His Viral Rant To The Refs
In case you missed it last night, we had Dan Hurley getting caught on camera telling a ref this. We know he said this, because, well, he confirms it.
Sam's right. I've been a Hurley defender mostly because I don't care about what coaches do on the sidelines. I'm not Goodman out here calling it disgusting. It's a coach yelling at a ref, big fucking deal. I don't know if it's because I may or may not have been a bit of a lunatic when I played and got my fair share of technical fouls, I just don't have an opinion on how coaches act besides it's entertaining and funny. Not to mention, Hurley has the right to do whatever he wants. You win, you can be an asshole.
That's why it hurt getting meme'd to death by Dan. I might have to get on the phone with VinDog and find myself in a meme war. No one has the memes like VinDog has the memes.
Again, Dan Hurley somehow has caused more divide among basketball fans than anything I can remember. People losing their mind about him losing their mind. People even debating whether he's a good coach. Those people are fucking morons. Dan Hurley is an incredible coach and that's not even an argument. He goes even more in depth here. He knows he's not a victim, but there's assholes on Twitter (not me) and ratings (me, pageviews) who are looking for him:
Of course the cameras are going to go to Hurley! He's the reigning back-to-back champ. He became the face of college basketball whether he wanted to or not. Again, I think it's fucking hilarious. College basketball always had entertaining coaches who weren't afraid to be characters. Shit, it's how the Big East started. This is who Hurley is, the quicker everyone realizes it and stops trying to make some deep thought about it, the better.
