Pathetic: The NFL Fined Joe Mixon $25k For Something He Didn't Say, He Thinks They'll Fine Him Again Because Connor McDavid Cross Checked An Opponent

I'm putting this quote here so you can see what Joe Mixon said. It's right there. I say that, because Joe Mixon was fined $25,000 for something that someone else said:

[Source] - The league has fined Texans running back Joe Mixon for saying this after the Kansas City win: “Why play the game if every 50/50 call goes with Chiefs. These officials are trash and bias.”

The same article attributes the comment for which Mixon was fined not to Mixon but to former Bengals receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh.

Just your classic $25,000 mixup. Tough to have some standard reading comprehension and just hand out fines for something else. Now, Joe Mixon is handling this exactly as he should. I'm not talking about obviously appealing the fine, but taking it to Twitter:

Big time for the NHL to get dragged here. He could have went with any person or suspension and he chose Connor McDavid. That's how you grow the sport. But in all honesty, how fucking stupid is this? I don't know how this even happens. We're talking about a billion dollar industry that has no idea who says what and just hands out fines. Then again, maybe that's how they get to a billion dollars.

Even if this gets rescinded, Mixon should bring this up every chance he can. We know the Texans put the refs on blast after the game, no need to stop now. The NFL tried taking $25k away from you, I would never stop bitching about that. Again, it's basic reading comprehension! You can't fine him for something that wasn't even said.
