GREAT NEWS! ‘Ted’ Season 2 Just Wrapped Filming And Is Coming Soon To Peacock
I’ve got some great news for everyone today - ‘Ted’ Season 2 has apparently wrapped filming and is officially coming soon to Peacock!
The first season was a huge surprise hit, considering I think most people were a bit skeptical at first - and understandably so! The thought was, “How great could a ‘Ted’ prequel co-starring a kid doing a Mark Wahlberg impression actually be?", or more cynically, "Is this just another shitty cash grab?” I mean, following up two beloved movies with a streaming series on Peacock DID feel a bit like following up a four-course meal at Le Bernardin with a plate of black licorice. No offense, Peacock.
But then Season 1 dropped, and it was actually good! And not just good - it was great! It was legit hilarious, just as raunchy as the movies, and even managed to squeeze some heart into each episode! It sounds cheesy, but it was one of those things I didn’t know I needed in my life until it was here, and then I was hooked immediately, and wanted more the second it was over. Just writing this blog made me want to go back and rewatch some of the funny moments from the show, and they all still cracked me up….
It pairs the "comfort watch" vibe from all your favorite 90s sitcoms with the hysterical (and sometimes shocking) 'Ted' style writing, and we could only hope Season 2 packs the same punch that Season 1 did. I'd even be happy if it were 75% as good!
But here’s my real hope: 'Ted 3' on the big screen. 'Ted' and 'Ted 2' were classics in their own in my mind, and if the TV show continues to be a success and that little bear is back in everybody's minds, who knows! I think it could be the perfect time for the next chapter in the saga of grown up Ted. Let's see him take on fatherhood with Tami-Lynn! Just think of the 'Baby Ted' merch!
Anyway, here's a compilation of some funny ass scenes from both movies….
P.S. While we're on the topic of Seth MacFarlane shows, he revealed the origin of the (now-viral) "It insists upon itself" line from 'Family Guy' this week - which I got a real kick out of….
