Smart Decision: Pete Carroll Is Officially The Raiders Next Head Coach, A Day After A Bunch Of People Reported Jerry Jones Called Him

I have no idea if Pete Carroll is going to be any good with the Raiders, no one does. They don't have a quarterback, they need to hope someone falls in the Draft or make a move to get one. It's not like they have a bunch of skill players out there to make you pumped about. But this is a smart decision. Why? 

A day ago Jerry Jones called him about the Cowboys: 

You had Cowboys fans talking themselves into a Carroll/Brian Schottenheimer combo. They started believing that it was a smart decision and that even Jerry couldn't screw it up. That's why this is a smart decision. It's not like the Raiders have some stunning recipe for success, but seeing it took 24 hours for him to take the Raiders job instead if beautiful. Think about the Cowboys coaching search so far. We started with Deion, we've heard Kellen Moore, there was this combo and it'll probably just be Brian Schottenheimer. Good news is it's all up to Jerry! 

I do wonder what happens to his class at USC though: 

Kinda love the AFC West is just a bunch of old school coaches getting back together. Andy Reid, Jim Harbaugh, Sean Payton and now Pete Carroll. Football division through and through right there.
